Kanayo O Kanayo denies engaging in midnight rituals for success
Veteran movie star, Kanayo has once again denied rumors that he engages in midnight rituals for money and success.
In an interview with The Punch, Kanayo emphatically denied ever visiting any fetish shrine at night to gain a competitive edge over his peers.
He made this clarification in response to a question about the secret to his enduring success and relevance in the film industry spanning many years.
The veteran actor humbly attributed his success to a possible divine favor, rather than any extraordinary efforts on his part.
He emphasized that he simply approaches his craft with dedication and professionalism.
Despite winning the Best Actor award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006, he remains modest, refusing to label himself the best actor, and instead, acknowledges the talent of his peers.
Kanayo said:
“On a lighter note, I have never gone anywhere in the dead of night to be more successful or relevant than anybody else. Perhaps, there is an unseen finger or hand that has said I should continue doing what I’m doing. I am not the best actor, even though I won the Best Actor category of the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006.
I have not done anything special, but I am a professional to the core. I try to do things the right way. I have tried as much as I can on my own, because if you play your part, God will also play His part. Also, I have tried as much as I can to take care of my health, and I’ve tried to obey the laws of nature.”
