My Request For A One On One With Rick Ross Was Declined – Rapper MI Abaga Reacts

MI Abaga, a popular Nigerian rapper, has disclosed that he was denied a one-on-one meeting with American rapper Rick Ross.

Rick Ross is now in Nigeria for an Easter event titled “Rick Ross Live In Lagos,” and he has been meeting and greeting Nigerian celebrities since his arrival.

According to MI, he received an invitation to see the Maybach music mogul and requested a private meeting, but his request was denied.

Meanwhile, he publicly requested a collaboration with the American music singer in 2017, but has yet to receive a response.

The ‘One Naira’ singer also declared on Twitter that the Afrobeats industry in Nigeria will not recognize Hip Hop owing to a variety of factors.

MI tweeted; ”Lastly .. I was invited to meet Rick Ross.. I responded by saying if I could do it one on one. Ofcourse they declined.. the afrobeats industry will not respect Hiphop just because.. that’s fine. Let’s accept it as what it is and make GREAT MUSIC FOR THE ONES who do care.
