“Get back in uni!” – Blaqbonez Advises Rema

Following the recent suspension of the 8-month-old ASUU strike that saw the closure of most public universities and polytechnics in Nigeria, Blaqbonez sent a word of advice to his colleague, Rema.

The sensational rapper is currently trending for the creativity poured into the video of his new hit – Back In Uni. The music video which he self-directed with the aid of talented Nigerian cinematographer, Perlikis, sent tongues wagging because of its ingenious emulation of several videos and artistes. It was also believed to be a clever clapback on renowned video director, TG  Omori.

Well, Blaqbonez has taken the advice from his lyrics to Rema’s ears. Referred to as the official resumption song, Blaqbonez used Back In Uni to remind Rema to conclude his current tour and go back to school.

Recall that Rema gained admission into the University of Lagos in January, 2022. However, weeks into resumption, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, embarked on an eight-month-strike.
