Unseen BNXN-Asake Collaboration Clip Resurfaces
A previously unseen collaboration clip between Afrobeats stars BNXN (formerly Buju) and Asake has resurfaced online, sending fans into a frenzy and reopening discussions about one of the genre’s biggest “what-could-have-been” moments.
The clip, titled “Organize (Lost Files)”, recently trended on X (formerly Twitter) after being rediscovered from BNXN’s old TikTok series.
According to details shared online, the recording dates back to around 2021, before Asake’s breakout and eventual signing to YBNL Nation. The resurfaced footage captures both artists in a creative session that many fans now describe as raw, street-inspired, and ahead of its time.
Further fueling interest, leaked direct messages from 2022 revealed that Asake’s team had once proposed releasing the song officially as a collaboration featuring BNXN. However, BNXN reportedly declined, having already repurposed his lyrics for another track.
That decision eventually led both artists down separate creative paths. Asake transformed his version into “Organise,” a standout track on his debut album, while BNXN reworked his part into “Best of Me,” which also gained massive street appeal.
Fans have since praised how the split unexpectedly produced two successful solo records, each reflecting the unique artistry of the singers. Still, many listeners can’t help but imagine how explosive a full BNXN-Asake collaboration would have been, with some calling for a future joint project.
As the clip continues to circulate, it highlights how even lost sessions can reignite excitement years later. Connect with us for more news like this on Instagram | YouTube | TikTok | X | Facebook
