Wizkid, Ayra Starr And Brymo, Bag Higest Nominations at the Headies 2022

Nigerian international artists Wizkid, Ayra Starr, and Brymo have bagged the highest amount of nominations at the 2022 Headies Awards.

 

The Headies Awards show, which celebrates quality and musical excellence in the Nigerian music scene is scheduled to hold on Sunday 4th September 2022 at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, USA.

 

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid bagged a total of nine (9) nominations, making him the only artist with the highest amount of nominations. This is due to the success of his recent album, Made In Lagos which was also nominated in the recent Grammys awards. The album houses tunes like “Blessed “Mood” and the most successful of them all “Essence” featuring Tems.

 

Talented singer, vocalist and Mavin signee, Ayra Starr followed  suite with eight (8) nominations. Her latest album ‘19 and dangerous’ has seen commercial success and has bagged her this many nominations

 

Nigerian singer songwriter and Sonic-Artist Brymo was nominated in six (6) categories due to the release of his recent album, 9: Èsan.
