Tems Wins Big At BET Awards

Afro beats Superstar Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, won big at the BET Awards. BET Awards aired live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, the ceremony significant a celebration of  “black excellence”. Three afro beats stars : Fireboy DML, Wiz Kid and Tems received six nominated combined with Tems responsible for half. Tems’ three nominations were the first time an African had been up for that many awards. Last night Tems secured awards for “Best International Act” and “Best Collaboration” for Essence. Tems graciously accepts her first ever award and gives an inspirational speech to the audience watching. Tems expressed that women of all ages watching could see her as a sign to follow their dreams.
