Olamide Explains Reason For Zero Albums & Concerts This Year
Rapper and YBNL boss, Olamide, is no stranger to the Nigerian entertainment scene. He is one of the most sought-after Nigerian rappers who also own and manages a successful record label (YBNL-Yahoo Boy No Laptop).
The label manages Asake, Fireboy DML and its most recent signee, Senth. While Asake and Fireboy were having a wonderful year dominating global charts and headlining concerts, it seemed Olamide resigned himself to being behind the scene.
Yes, he released and featured in some songs this year. However, he neither dropped an album nor hosted his annual end-of-year concert, OLIC.
A disappointed fan took to Twitter to know the reasons behind these. They wrote,
“No album, no olic, and today is 25th of December, what’s happening @Olamide?”
Well, Olamide replied him immediately with an assurance that he was “still cooking and going harder than ever.”
Recently, pictures and videos of him working in studios and music videos have been circulating online. His fans should rest assured that he is indeed cooking up things that will make up for his absence in 2022. We can’t wait!
