Nigerians React As Asa Performs ‘Fire on the Mountain’ at NNPCL Unveiling, For President Buhari and Many Politicians.

Award-winning Nigerian singer and instrumentalist, Asa, has a simple message for Nigerian politicians – “There is fire on the mountain”. Asa performed her timeless hit at the unveiling of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and the internet is buzzing about her performance.

This is because Asa performed the song at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in front of several politicians including the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari; the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mele Kyari; and the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Timpire Sylva and more.

The timing of the performance could not have been more perfect, as Nigeria is currently facing a lot of challenges with economic failure and insecurity taking the lead. The lyrics of the song perfectly addresses the apathetic state of Nigerian politicians. This is why many Nigerians are praising Asa for her political stance.
