‘My Diary’ – Gyakie Releases Sophomore EP. (Listen)

Gyakie Describes The Bittersweet Feeling Of Attraction On Her New Single Titled “Something”

Since her debut in 2019, Gyakie has been moving by leaps and bounds in the music industry. Surprisingly, there was a time Gyakie was not interested in joining the industry. Despite being the daughter of legendary highlife Ghanaian musician, Ernest Nana Acheampong, she did not really consider a musical career of her own.

However, that changed after a chance meeting with a music producer, while studying at the University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Since then, she hasn’t looked back. The 23-year-old artiste has continued to drop hits after hits including a debut EP titled, ‘2020’s Seed’.

Now, Gyakie has followed that up with another studio EP titled, ‘My Diary’. The project contains six tracks, with Davido appearing as the only featured act. The EP was produced by Electro Mirror, with the help of six other producers. It was mixed and mastered by Altra Nova.

In an interview with Apple music, the song bird revealed that the album exposes more sides to her personality.

“I’m talking about things that I’ve been experiencing—things that I might not say out loud,” she says. “I talk about so many things, how my journey has been and how things are going now. It’s like the inside part of my life, and my fans get to experience that with me.”

‘My Diary’ is now available across digital music stores worldwide via Flip The Music and Sony Music Entertainment.
