Jinger Stone celebrating her double win at the BOMU Music Awards

Jinger Stone Wins Big at the 2026 BOMU Music Awards With Double Victory

Botswana singer Jinger Stone just added two more trophies to her growing shelf. At the 14th Annual BOMU Music Awards, held on Friday, August 28, Jinger Stone walked away with Best Single for her track Best Decision, along with the Best International Achievement award, recognizing her growing presence beyond Botswana.

A Career Built Step by Step

The double win places her among the evening’s joint highest individual winners, alongside Issa Sisdoh and Dada Kavino. Speaking after the ceremony, Jinger Stone thanked her team and collaborators, including producer Sly Mndawe and her managers, for helping push her career forward through difficult stretches.

Best Decision, released in late 2025 alongside Kabza De Small and SLY, has become one of her standout records and clearly played a big role in the recognition. Originally from Molepolole and now based in Gaborone, Jinger Stone has steadily built a sound that blends Amapiano, Afropop, and Botswana’s own pop traditions.

A Growing International Footprint

This is not her first taste of recognition. She previously won Best Newcomer at the 7th Yarona FM Music Awards in 2021 and has gone on to collaborate with South African names, including Kelvin Momo, appearing on his studio album across three tracks.

With two new BOMU Awards in hand, Jinger Stone leaves the 2026 ceremony with fresh momentum and an expanding reach across Southern Africa’s music scene.
