Scorpion Kings Live Breaks Records At FNB Stadium
Amapiano just delivered one of its biggest nights yet. DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small brought Scorpion Kings Live 2026 to FNB Stadium on Saturday, 19 September. More than 74,000 fans filled the venue for the pair’s biggest live show to date.
The concert featured over 70 performers across the night. It celebrated Amapiano alongside other sounds from South Africa’s rich music scene. AfrobeatsGlobal was watching as the numbers rolled in, and the scale spoke for itself.
This was not the duo’s first stadium moment either. They previously sold out Loftus Versfeld Stadium in August 2025. However, FNB Stadium represented a new peak for the Scorpion Kings brand.

Cassper Nyovest Praises The Scorpion Kings Live Milestone
Reaction poured in almost immediately after the show ended. Cassper Nyovest took to X to celebrate what Maphorisa and Kabza had achieved. He called the concert monumental for the South African music industry as a whole.
“What Scorpion Kings did last night is monumental,” Cassper wrote. He added that the pair are blessed to have built something that now feeds many families. His message closed with a simple line: “I have nothing but respect.”

The praise carries extra weight given Cassper’s own history. He became the first local headliner to fill the Ticketpro Dome back in 2015. He later staged his own FNB Stadium concert in 2017, drawing a reported 68,000 people.
Maphorisa had previously credited Cassper’s stadium journey as inspiration for the Scorpion Kings’ own ambitions. Their public exchange now closes that loop nicely. Both artists have shaped how South African stars think about stadium shows.
For Maphorisa and Kabza, the FNB Stadium night placed Amapiano at the center of a massive live event. The production leaned fully into the genre’s roots and its rapid global growth. It is a milestone. AfrobeatsGlobal expects the culture to keep referencing for years.
