Emtee Says Nairobi Album Is Almost Done
Emtee fans, we have movement. The rapper says the Emtee Nairobi album is almost done.
He shared the short update on social media with no release date attached. Even so, it is his clearest signal yet that the project is in its final stages.
How Far Along Is the Emtee Nairobi Album?
The rollout has been slow and steady. In July, he said he was in the studio and might finish sooner than expected. Then in September, he told fans he would skip interviews until the album was finished.
He first planned an early 2026 release, so the wait has stretched longer. In addition, he has talked about live instrumentation like keys, drums, and choral arrangements.
The Meaning Behind the Emtee Nairobi Album Title
Despite the name, Nairobi is not about the Kenyan capital. Instead, it honors his daughter, who was born in 2023. That follows his naming pattern, since Avery in 2015 honored his first son.
Likewise, his 2021 album LOGAN was named after his second son. Still, Kenyan fans may do a double take at the title, and that could help the album travel.
Meanwhile, Emtee has stayed busy. DIY 3 (Deluxe) arrived in December 2025 with 17 tracks. It featured Young Stunna, Sjava, Lowfeye, Blue Pappi, LaCabra, Loatinover Pounds, and 25K.
In June, he joined Sjava, Saudi, and Ruff on The Trap Temptations. Then in August, he dropped the Ibandla remix with Nasty C. He also released Buya with Nandi Ndathane.
Meanwhile, fans have kept the Emtee Nairobi album hype alive. Emtee also backed a fan petition asking him to fill FNB Stadium. In addition, Flash Ikumkani revealed two Emtee collaborations on his Mini Enzima project, which is set for October.
