The Gomoa Central MP wants the dancehall star’s London homecoming to happen on the biggest stage possible.
Gomoa Central MP and outspoken Shatta Wale supporter Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has explained why he believes the Ghanaian dancehall star has yet to headline a concert at London’s O2 Arena.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, A-Plus said the O2 Arena’s capacity is too small to accommodate Shatta Wale’s sizeable fan base, with the camp instead hoping to stage a major concert at either Wembley Stadium or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He explained that crowd safety concerns had influenced the decision not to pursue the O2, arguing that a smaller venue could put fans at risk given the scale of Shatta Wale’s support base.
A-Plus said the team is exploring the possibility of securing Wembley Stadium, which holds more than 80,000 for major events, as the preferred venue for a future London concert.
He also highlighted the potential economic benefits of Ghanaian artistes staging major concerts internationally, congratulating Stonebwoy on his recent international milestone and encouraging other Ghanaian artistes to pursue similarly ambitious stages.
A-Plus stressed that support and sponsorship remain key pieces of the puzzle if Ghanaian artistes are to keep landing bigger UK stages, framing it as a collective push rather than a one-artist mission. He argued that a successful stadium show would not only cement Shatta Wale’s global standing but also boost Ghana’s wider tourism and creative economy in the process.
