Tems, Wizkid, Fireboy bag Award Nominations Ahead Of The BET 2022 Awards

Tems, Wizkid and Fireboy have all been nominated for the BET Awards 2022. Tems receives three award nominations, which is the highest by an African artist as she becomes the first African act to bag three nominations in the same year. Wizkid follows suite with two nominations while Fireboy DML with one.

 

 

Tems was nominated in the Best International Act category, Best New Artist and Best collaboration for her contribution to the global hit song ‘Essence’ by Wizkid.

 

 

 

Wizkid was nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Best Collaboration for his hit song, ‘Essence’ which features Tems and Justin Bieber.

 

 

 

Fireboy was nominated for Best International Act. The award ceremony will take place on June 27 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles and will be hosted by award winning actress, writer, director and producer, Taraji P Henson.
