Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz Under Fire for Copying Nigerian Singer Asake in Latest Song

Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz is finding himself at the center of a storm of criticism following the release of his latest song “Komando,” in which he collaborates with G Nako.

In the short clip, Diamond is seen wearing an all-white outfit, complete with artificial long locks and black sunglasses featuring white frames depicting Nigerian singer Asake’s looks in his music videos.

However, keen-eyed fans were quick to draw comparisons, noting that Diamond’s look, particularly the baggy trousers he donned, seemed reminiscent of Nigerian singer Asake’s signature style in his music videos.

The video captures Diamond standing still, rhythmically shaking his head, and chanting ‘Komando’ as the beat drops.

Fans have taken to social media to express their observations and opinions on the similarities between Diamond’s attire and Asake’s iconic fashion choices.
