The South African hitmaker returns with a guitar-led, soul-soaked Afro-house record. South African DJ and producer Prince Kaybee has released “Veliry,” a new collaboration with singer-songwriter Ben September, out August 21, 2026, via PLAYY Records.

“Veliry” combines Afro-house rhythms with R&B and soul influences. The track opens with a guitar-led arrangement before layered percussion and melodic elements build around September’s vocals.
Kaybee, whose real name is Kabelo Motsamai, said the song was inspired by a woman named Veliry, describing her as someone who reminded him of a beautiful day of harmonic love songs.
The single follows Kaybee’s previous release “Heno Babayo,” which received international media and radio support, including coverage from Mixmag and airplay on UK station KISS XTRA. Kaybee rose to prominence after winning SABC 1’s 1’s and 2’s DJ competition in 2015 and has since worked with artists including Lady Zamar, Busiswa, and Black Motion.
Ben September, from Sasolburg in the Free State, has built his profile through a blend of alternative R&B, Afro-pop, and soul, with previous collaborators including Tyler ICU, KLY, and FLVME. His songwriting often explores themes of love, vulnerability, and self-discovery, qualities that come through clearly on “Veliry.”
The pairing continues a working relationship between the two artists, with Kaybee returning to September’s voice for the emotional depth it consistently brings to his production. As Kaybee keeps exploring the intersection of Afro-house, soul, and contemporary African sound, “Veliry” stands as one of his more tender offerings yet.
