Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie Drags Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido In New Song

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has taken a dig at Nigeria’s top three musicians, Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy in his latest rap music released on Friday.

Bragging about his achievements, Sarkodie claimed to have sold out the O2 arena in 2016, a feat he says Nigerian performers Davido and Wizkid have yet to match.

He asserted that he paved the way for them, setting a precedent they have followed.

In the song, Sarkodie also placed Grammy Award-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif in the same category as himself, implying they share a similar level of success.

A notable line from the song reads: “Wizkid came, I was already doing it; Davido started, I was improving it; then Odogwu came through Black Sherif and Asake.”

This lyric suggests Sarkodie believes he was a trailblazer, and others have followed in his footsteps.
