Davido Loses Son, Ifeanyi, Days After Birthday

Tragedy strikes the Adeleke household as Davido loses his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

The boy allegedly drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in Banana Island. The tragic incidence happened just 11 days after his lavish birthday.

A source from the family reported:

“the boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital. By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late.”

Another anonymous source revealed that his parents were absent when the unfortunate incidence occurred. Davido was traveling in the United States while his mother, Chioma Rowland, was on a trip to Ibadan.

Ironically, in a viral video posted days after Ifeanyi’s birthday, Davido was seen teaching him how to swim. He carried the boy across a large pool and made him flap his legs in the water while giving him swimming lessons.

Unfortunately, the lessons didn’t pay off as the boy lost his life in the swimming Pool.

It would be recalled that four years ago, a similar fate befell Afrobeats artiste, D’banj, and his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow, whose 1-year-old son drowned in a pool at their residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Condolences have started pouring in from family, friends and fans all over the world.
