Nigerian rapper, Olamide, has achieved a milestone with his 11th studio album, Cape Diem. The album has just surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, making it the first ever album by an African rapper to hit that mark.

Carpe Diem was released in October, 2020, as Olamide’s 11th studio album and first body of work under American label and distribution company, Empire Distribution. Eight months after its release, the album crossed the 500 million stream mark across all streaming platforms.

The twelve-tracked album featured Bad Boy Timz, Bella Shmurda, Fireboy, Peruzzi, Phyno and Omah Lay. The producers who worked on the album were ID Cabasa, Pheelz, P.Prime, VStix and Young John.
