VIDEO: VeryDarkMan and Mr. Jollof Fight on United Nigeria Airlines Flight

Earlier today, an unusual drama occurred on United Nigeria Airlines flight UN0523 from Asaba to Lagos when social critic VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) and comedian Mr. Jollof (Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi) got into a physical fight. The two were forcefully separated inside the plane and handed over to security, in line with the carrier’s zero-tolerance policy.

The uneasy history between the pair stretches back to 2024, when VeryDarkMan accused Mr. Jollof’s wife of adultery and other serious misconduct. Mr. Jollof’s wife later filed a defamation suit seeking ₦500 million over those allegations.

VeryDarkMan also claimed her infidelity helped her husband secure a government position. In defiance, Mr. Jollof rebuked him publicly, escalating existing tensions.

On the morning of the flight, the two men reportedly clashed in full view of fellow passengers. According to eyewitnesses, comedian FunnyBone attempted to break them apart. VeryDarkMan later posted about the scuffle, describing Mr. Jollof as biting him in the altercation and claiming he “dealt with” the comedian. The airline promptly deboarded them immediately the brawl escalated.

United Nigeria Airlines reportedly handed both men over to security for possible charges of affray and assault. Moreover, VeryDarkMan has publicly expressed concern for his safety. He claimed that Mr. Jollof leaked his home address online amid their earlier disputes.

That revelation followed threats of legal action and a public demand for retraction and apology. Critics have weighed in, calling for airlines to enforce stricter onboard behavior rules. Meanwhile, both parties have yet to issue a joint statement after the mid-flight confrontation.
