“More Love, Less Ego” – Wizkid Releases Fifth Album (Listen)
After months of anticipation, Machalla 1 has finally released his fifth studio album – ‘More Love, Less Ego.’
Since the release of his debut album, “Superstar”, more than a decade ago, Wizkid has leapt in a pace that has not been replicated by any other Afrobeats artiste. With three more chart-topping and award-winning albums, “Ayo”, “Sounds From The Other Side”, and “Made In Lagos“, Wizkid became the face of the Afrobeats genre in a decade.
Today, Wizkid is widely known as the wind behind the wings of Afrobeats and his new album is a testament to this fact. “More Love, Less Ego” is a masterful embodiment of his unique sound which has evolved from his days of “Holla at your boy” to a sound enjoyed by both young and old alike; in Africa and beyond her shores.
“More Love, Less Ego” is stacked with local and international talents including Ayra Starr, Don Toliver, Naira Marley, Shenseea, Skepta, and Skillibeng.
The album was released on the 11th of November, 2022, one week after its scheduled release. Wizkid had moved the date from the 4th of November to show respects to his grieving colleague, Davido, whose three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, died in a drowning accident.
Although it is too early to tell if this album will surpass the global success of “Made In Lagos”, positive reviews have started pouring in from fans and critics. Nothing less is to be expected from Big Wiz. Recall that he had earlier blessed his fans with two singles from the album – “Bad To Me“ and “Money & Love“. Perhaps, the album will replicate the success of the tracks which had massive streams and airplay.

Nevertheless, Wizkid’s message of spreading love and worrying less about money is perfectly embodied in the album.
‘More Love, Less Ego‘ was produced under Starboy Label and RCA and is available in all major music streaming platforms.
