Falz Says Waiting Until 30s Is Better For Marriage
Falz has a clear message for people feeling rushed into marriage. He believes the 30s can offer more room for growth before a lifelong commitment.
The rapper shared the view during an appearance on The BTS Reality Podcast. His comments have since sparked a fresh conversation about marriage and age.
According to the discussion, Falz believes people often gain emotional, financial, and mental maturity with more life experience. He also urged young people not to let pressure decide their timeline.
Falz Waiting Until 30s Can Mean More Growth

“Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By your 30s, you have gained more life experiences. In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out.
“Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married.”
Falz described the 20s as a period for learning, exploring, and understanding yourself. He said people are still figuring out many parts of life during that stage.
By the 30s, he believes people can have a clearer sense of direction. That can affect how they approach major decisions, including marriage. However, Falz did not suggest that every person must follow one fixed timeline. His wider point was about readiness and personal choice.
Family expectations can also shape how young adults view marriage. In many African homes, questions about settling down can start long before someone feels ready. Therefore, his comments speak to a familiar pressure. They also challenge the idea that marriage must happen simply because a person has reached a certain age.
Marriage Is Not A Race

The conversation around Falz‘s view is bigger than one celebrity opinion. People now have different career paths, financial goals, and ideas about relationships.
Some couples may be ready earlier. Others may need more time. Neither choice automatically guarantees a successful marriage. Still, preparation matters. Knowing yourself, understanding your partner, and having honest conversations can help people make better decisions.
AfrobeatsGlobal recently explored another Falz story through our breakdown of his song Ole. That piece also shows how the rapper often uses his platform to start wider conversations.
