BET Awards 2022 – Check Out The Full List Of Performers.

 

Official organizers of the 2022 BET Awards have just released the full list of artistes that would be performing at the event. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson for the second year in a row, the award show will air live on June 26 on BET at 8 p.m. ET/PT from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

As the acronym implies, the award was established in 2001 to celebrate the excellence of Black entertainers around the globe. At first, the show only focused on artistes in and around the USA. But in recent years, the focus has shifted to African artistes and other black artistes from around the world.

The award show has been held every year but one, since it’s inception. It was canceled in 2020 because of the world wide pandemic.

Every year, millions of people around the tune in to the award show. Not only because it honors their favorite artistes, but also for the amazing and jaw-dropping performances by black entertainers. This year, the BET organizers have pulled together a list of talented artistes to entertain fans throughout the show. They are:

Baby face,  Chance The Rapper,  Chlöe,  Doechii,  Ella Mai,  Fireboy DML,  GIVĒON,  GoGo Morrow,  Jack Harlow,  Joey Bada$$,  Maverick City Music x Kirk Franklin,  Latto,  Lizzo, Muni Long,  OGI,  Roddy Ricch and many more to be announced.

Nigerian artiste, Fireboy DML, is the only African Artiste to perform on the award show.

The ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ recipient has also been announced. Sean Combs, an American rapper and actor will receive the prestigious award. Diddy or Puff Daddy, as he is popularly known as, is the second ever recipient of the award. The first was Queen Latifah in the 2020 BET Awards.
