Kizz Daniel Owo Oluwa Hits No. 1 on Nigerian Radio

Kizz Daniel kept quiet for most of the year, and now he is on top. Owo Oluwa just hit No. 1 on Nigerian radio.

The Thanksgiving single leads his coming album, Radio Gidi. It tops TurnTable’s Official Radio Songs chart this week, eleven days before the album arrives.

How Owo Oluwa Took the Radio Crown

The song features Young Jonn, producer Krizbeatz, and Wave Choir. As a result, Young Jonn grabs his fifth radio No. 1. It is the first for Krizbeatz and Wave Choir.

On the Official Nigeria Top 100, Owo Oluwa sits at No. 8. Meanwhile, Seyi Vibez’s SWAGUU holds most of the top ten.

The record is built on gratitude and family celebration. Wave Choir answers Kizz on the hook, and the drums push in underneath. Naturally, radio programmers could not resist.

Why Owo Oluwa Feels So Personal for Kizz Daniel

Since May, Kizz had promised two albums this year, Radio Gidi and Uncle K. However, no new single arrived until mid-September. When a fan guessed an album kept him away, he said he paused for his mother.

Notably, his last full album was Maverick in 2023. The four-track project TZA followed in 2024. Then in June 2025, he said he was stepping back from the studio to spend more time with family.

He added that he lost her this year. The video came out at the end of September, and Asherkine helped direct it. It is dedicated to his late parents.

Radio Gidi lands on October 16. That is the same Friday as Fireboy DML’s ZUKO! and Blaqbonez’s NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME. Even so, Kizz walks into that crowded day with a song station already loved.
