Tiakola and Rema Link Up on New Collaboration ‘BEST’

French-Congolese artist Tiakola and Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema has joined forces on a new collaboration titled “BEST.”

The song arrives as part of Tiakola’s sophomore album, WpointM, which was released on September 25, 2026. The 17-track project marks the next chapter in Tiakola’s career following his 2022 debut album, Mélo.

“BEST” connects two artists from different parts of the African music scene, bringing Tiakola’s melodic style together with Rema’s Afrobeats sound.

“BEST” brings together Tiakola’s melodic approach and Rema’s distinctive Afrobeats influence. The collaboration creates a meeting point between French music and Nigerian Afrobeats, with both artists bringing their own musical identities to the record. It also adds another international collaboration to Tiakola’s growing catalogue.

The song had already generated interest before its official release. Tiakola appeared to tease the collaboration through the music video for his earlier song “Upa Solide,” giving fans an early hint that a connection with Rema was coming.

That anticipation continued across social media as fans reacted to previews and clips of the collaboration, particularly Rema’s contribution and the chemistry between both artists.

‘BEST’ Lands on Tiakola’s WpointM

“BEST” is one of the 17 tracks on WpointM, Tiakola’s second studio album.

The album title is connected to his real name, William Mundala, while the project explores different parts of his identity and musical background. The sound moves across French rap, Afrobeats, and Congolese influences.

The project follows Mélo, the album that helped establish Tiakola as one of the notable voices in France’s contemporary melodic rap scene. Since then, he has continued to build his profile through collaborations and music that connects French, African, and international influences.

WpointM also follows WpointM 93120, a six-track preface released before the full album. The project takes its name from the postal code associated with La Courneuve, where Tiakola grew up.

Rema Adds Another International Collaboration

For Rema, “BEST” adds another international collaboration to an already global catalogue.

The Nigerian artist has built a strong international presence through songs such as “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez and collaborations with artists from different parts of the world. His appearance on Tiakola’s album continues that cross-border approach.

The collaboration also highlights the growing connection between Nigeria and France’s music scenes. Artists from both markets have increasingly worked together, creating records that move between languages, genres, and audiences.
