Fally Ipupa O2 Arena Shows Celebrate 20 Years in Music

Fally Ipupa O2 Arena Shows Celebrate 20 Years in Music

Kinshasa came to London, and The O2 felt every bit of it. The Fally Ipupa O2 Arena shows on 24 and 25 October 2026 celebrated 20 years in music. Furthermore, fans say Tiwa Savage joined as a surprise guest.

The Prince of Rumba performed hits from his new album XX, including Jam with Wizkid. Meanwhile, glowing staircases and dynamic lights shaped the stage. Fans praised the crisp sound and a smooth show.

Why the Fally Ipupa O2 Arena Nights Matter

Fally first planned one show at The O2 on 25 October. However, demand pushed him to add 24 October as a second night. As a result, the celebration became two nights.

Promoters billed the 25 October night as the biggest Francophone show in UK history. Furthermore, reports say he is the first Francophone artist to sell out The O2 twice. In 2023, he was the first Francophone artist to perform at Wembley Arena.

He released XX in April 2026. The album features Wizkid, Angélique Kidjo, Joé Dwèt Filé, DJ Maphorisa, Calema, and KeBlack. In addition, the guest list links Congolese rumba with sounds from across Africa.

What Tiwa Savage Added to the Fally Ipupa O2 Arena Night

Tiwa Savage reportedly joined him on stage as a surprise guest. Then Nigerian and Congolese energy collided in front of the crowd. As a result, London got a proper West and Central African link-up.

Fally comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo and has been a giant for two decades. He also runs the Fally Ipupa Foundation, which supports vulnerable groups in the DRC. At AfrobeatsGlobal, we love seeing that influence on a London stage.

More on the Fally Ipupa O2 Arena Headliner

Fally is the first Congolese solo artist to go platinum. In addition, he was the first to sell out Olympia Hall in Paris. He is also the most streamed African artist on Boomplay.

His sound fuses Congolese rumba, soukous, R&B, and urban pop. Meanwhile, he is the most followed Congolese artist on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Those numbers explain why a second O₂ night made sense.
