Asake Lights Up Toronto and Montreal on the In God We Trust World Tour
Mr. Money brought back-to-back sold-out energy to Canada, with Uncle Waffles along for the ride. Asake brought his In God We Trust World Tour to Canada for two straight nights, taking over Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on August 22, 2026, before heading to Place Bell Arena in Laval, Montreal, on August 23, 2026. Toronto: Terminator and Sungba Lead the Night
The Lagos-born star leaned on two of his biggest anthems, “Terminator” and “Sungba,” to keep the Toronto crowd on their feet. Both records have become staples across his setlists this tour, alongside fan favorites like “Organize” and “Remember.”
The Toronto stop is part of a North American run supporting his fourth studio album, M$NEY, released May 1, 2026. The 13-track project blends fuji rhythms, amapiano bounce, and global sounds, and it has become one of the biggest Afrobeats releases of the year.
Montreal: A Sold-Out Night at Place Bell
A day later, Asake delivered a sold-out performance at Place Bell to a packed Quebec crowd. Fans sang along to “Organize,” “Amapiano,” “Lonely at the Top,” “Forgiveness,” and “Skilful,” running through a catalog spanning his 2022 debut, Mr. Money With The Vibe, through to M$NEY.
Uncle Waffles on Support Across Both Shows
South African amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles joined Asake for both Canadian dates, opening each show and setting the tone before he took the stage. Her back-to-back sets gave Canadian fans an early taste of amapiano’s rising global crossover before Asake’s set even began.
The two-night Canadian run continues a packed North American leg that includes Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, and Houston’s Toyota Center before the tour heads to Europe in October, including stops at London’s O2 and Paris’s Accor Arena.
