Siraheem Officially Quits Music After Emotional Statement

Nigerian Afrobeats artist Siraheem, born Raheem Okoya and the son of billionaire industrialist Chief Razaq Okoya, has announced his professional exit from the music industry. The singer, who has built a name for himself with songs including Bad Bitch Syndrome, Kowope, SOWETO, and TRU$T FUND, revealed the decision in a lengthy statement shared with his fans on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Despite coming from one of Nigeria’s well-known business families, Siraheem pursued music as a personal creative passion while also taking on responsibilities within his family’s business. He currently serves as an executive director at Eleganza Industrial City Limited, his father’s company, making it increasingly difficult to balance his professional responsibilities with the demands of a music career.

In his statement, Siraheem described his musical journey as “truly magical,” reflecting on the performances, recognition from artists he admired, and experiences that shaped his career. However, he explained that his other commitments had made it harder to give music the level of effort, patience, and dedication he believes it deserves.

Siraheem explained that music started simply as a hobby with his friends. Over time, he felt he could no longer give the craft the effort it deserved. Therefore, he chose to step away rather than deliver less than his best.

Siraheem Shows Gratitude for the Journey

Siraheem thanked everyone who supported him and believed in his sound. He specifically credited his community and two collaborators he called Mr. Fantasy and Mr. Miyagi. In his words, the chance to chase his dream meant everything to him.

The Door Stays Open for Siraheem
