Tiwa Savage Receives Honorary Doctorate From Alma Mater

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage has been awarded an honorary doctorate from her alma mater, University of Kent.

The award ceremony took place at the Canterbury and Rochester Cathedral today July 15, 2022 where she was awarded a Doctor of Music degree in recognition of her inspirational and international career in music.

The singer was earlier announced as one of the 10 exceptional individuals to be awarded with an honorary doctorate degree from the prestigious university.

She was however, awarded a doctorate degree alongside 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature winner, Professor  Abdulrazak Gurnah and Solicitor, Olufunke Abimbola MBE.
