BNXN Headlines Mainland BlockParty Still In Charge Show

BNXN on the Mainland BlockParty Still In Charge poster for the November 7 Ikeja show

BNXN walked to the very first Mainland BlockParty. This Saturday, he headlines it. The BNXN Mainland BlockParty story is pure full-circle energy. In April 2018, the first edition

pulled about 150 people into Burg on the Lagos Mainland. One guest arrived on foot, a 20-year-old singer then known as Buju. Now, on Saturday, November 7, that same star headlines the party at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Ikeja. AfrobeatsGlobal is already counting down.

BNXN Mainland BlockParty: From Walking In to Headlining

BNXN shared the memory on his Instagram Story this week. He called it a full circle moment. Interestingly, he walked from Telola’s house to Burg and back. His first official single, Catch a Vibe, had dropped only two months earlier.

The party grew fast too. Word of mouth lifted the crowd from 150 to 300 to 800. However, Burg eventually asked the party to leave. By December 2018, it was pulling 8,500 people.

BNXN moved just as quickly. A viral Commander clip caught the eye of Zlatan. Then Spiritual landed in August 2019, followed by L’enu that October. In addition, 2020 brought a Burna Boy remix and a Spaceship Records deal.

Notably, BlockParty put him on record before it put him on a poster. The opening track of the 2021 Confluence Project compilation featured him and Alpha P.

Still In Charge: The EP Behind the BNXN Mainland BlockParty Headline

STILL IN CHARGE is more than another headline show. It's a celebration of the journey of one of the most exciting superstars of our time. Be part of the story on November

The poster borrows the title of his latest project. Still In Charge is a six-track EP released on October 1 through EMPIRE. Asake appears on Eja Meja, while FOLA joins him on Shamaya. Moreover, BNXN said he racked up close to half a billion Spotify streams between January 1 and September 30.

There is another loop in the story. Producer Sarz attended the May 2018 edition at Burg. Furthermore, this year he and BNXN teamed up on The Game Needs Us, a five-track EP from May 2026.

BNXN Mainland BlockParty Tickets, Accra and Abuja Dates

BNXN reminisces about his first-ever Mainland Block Party experience on his Instagram Story as he returns to the stage to headline this Saturday's edition.

The show runs from 8pm to 3am. Tickets range from ₦10,000 to ₦2,000,000 for the top tables. However, the two cheapest waves have already sold out. Therefore, fans should move fast on the remaining tiers.

The BlockParty banner then travels. Gold BlockParty lands in Accra on November 13. Afterwards, Capital BlockParty hits Abuja on November 14. Organizers say the series now spans seven cities across three countries.
