Victony Reacts as BTS’ J-Hope Shows Love to “SLICK”
Nigerian singer Victony has reacted after BTS star J-Hope showed more love to his hit song, “SLICK.”
Victony reposted J-Hope’s latest Instagram post featuring the song, marking another public interaction between the South Korean superstar and the Nigerian hit. The moment came during the Colombia leg of BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour.
J-Hope Has Been Showing Love to “SLICK”
This is not the first time J-Hope has interacted with “SLICK.”
The BTS rapper and dancer previously joined a dance challenge inspired by the song, giving Victony’s record another moment of international visibility.
His latest post has now added to the growing attention around the track, with Victony acknowledging the support by sharing the post with his own audience.
“SLICK” Continues Its Strong Run
Released earlier this year, “SLICK” has become one of Victony’s biggest recent records.
As of October 2, 2026, the song had surpassed 44.5 million streams on Spotify while also reaching No. 1 on Spotify’s Nigeria chart. The record has continued to circulate across social media, helped by its viral dance challenge and TikTok presence.
The song was produced by Ozedikus and Dera The Boy and became an important part of Victony’s new musical chapter.
A Global Moment for Victony
“SLICK” is also featured on Victony’s sophomore album, STARLIFE, released on August 21, 2026.
The project sees Victony explore a smoother, more R&B-influenced side of his sound. He worked closely with producer Ozedikus, with “SLICK” emerging from those sessions as one of the album’s standout records.
With J-Hope repeatedly showing love to the song, “SLICK” continues to find its way into new audiences beyond Nigeria.
And for Victony, seeing one of the world’s biggest music stars connect with his record is another reminder of how far Afrobeats continues to travel globally.
