Tiwa Savage’s comments about infidelity have resurfaced online, with the singer explaining that cheating has never been enough reason for her to end a relationship.
The Nigerian singer originally made the remarks during her 2024 appearance on The Receipts Podcast, where she discussed relationships, heartbreak, and her experiences with infidelity.
Tiwa revealed that she had been cheated on before and chose to forgive her partners.
“I’ve been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time.”
She also said she had never ended a relationship specifically because a partner cheated on her. According to Tiwa, the dishonesty and disrespect surrounding cheating hurt her more than the act itself.

While infidelity may not be a deal breaker for Tiwa, she explained that other behaviors have made her walk away from relationships. She mentioned drug abuse, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, ghosting, stealing, and financial issues among the reasons she has ended relationships.
Her comments have continued to spark conversations because they challenge the increasingly common view that cheating should automatically end a relationship.
