On August 1, Black Sherif packed the historic Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center for his Sun Swagga Tour. The roughly 3,500-capacity venue had already sold out its early bird tickets back in May 2026.

Presented alongside the Road Boys Association and Safcom Group, the night became a celebration of Ghanaian pride abroad. He blended drill, highlife, hip hop, and Afrobeats while performing fan favourites like ‘Iron Boy’ and ‘Kweku the Traveler.’

His performance of ‘Amazing Grace,’ his collaboration with Davido, sparked a massive crowd sing-along on the night.

Unreleased Music and a Surprise Guest

Beyond the hits, Black Sherif debuted at least three unreleased tracks, including one titled ‘Running Around.’ Fellow Ghanaian artist AratheJay made a surprise appearance, adding another memorable layer to the show. The performance arrives fresh off his second Artist of the Year win at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. That win ties him with legends like Sarkodie and Stonebwoy for the honor.

Given the response, fans are already calling for more U.S. dates to be added to the Sun Swagga Tour.
