Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack , popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist, actor, dancer, philanthropist and a businessman from Tandale, Dar es Salaam. He is the founder and CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label also a TV Station titled Wasafi TV & a radio station titled Wasafi Fm. has had several hit songs including “Number One” featuring Nigerian artist Davido. Diamond won numerous awards at Channel O, MTV Awards, Soundcity, Kilimnjaro Music Awards, Headies, Afrima, Afrimma, Kora, AEA, the HiPipo Music Awards and more.
Diamond Platnumz is considered as one of the most influential artiste in Africa, and is said to be the most loved and decorated artiste in East and Central Africa. He was believed to be the highest selling Tanzanian artist of ringtones by mobile phone companies in 2013 as well as being among the artists earning the highest income in the African Great Lakes region’s music industry. Diamond is jointly managed by Sallam Ahmed Sharaff (Sallam SK) a.k.a. Don Mendez, Hamisi Shaban Taletale(Babu Tale) and Saidi Hassan Mlinge (Mkubwa Fella) from the Tanzanian music Recently some fans have been complaining about his involvement in politics especially supporting the ruling party which some refer it to political bigotry. He recorded a remix of his single “Mbagala”, titled “CCM Tusonge Mbele” (“CCM Let’s Move Forward”)
