Traditional Teachings Made Relevant Today Lesson 5: If the Full Moon loves you, why worry about the stars – Tunisian Proverb
In order to understand the meaning of this proverb, you first need to understand the power of the full Moon.
Every 28 days when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are all aligned a full moon occurs, and the moon’s surface is fully illuminated by the reflection of the Sun’s light. On this day the moon has completed its cycle and is at the height of its power. As we are deeply connected to not only the Earth, but the Sun and Moon also, during this time, we are also aligned, and at the height of our powers. Did you know the Moon controls the ocean tides, and when a full Moon occurs the tides are much higher than usual. Did you know the tidal effect of the Moon on Earth is more than twice as strong as that of the Sun. We as humans are made up of approximately 60% water, and just like the tide in the oceans, the moon can have major influence over us.
Many people have been studying and following the cycle of the moon for centuries and understand that the full Moon is a representation of completion, wholeness, an ending of one phase, a time to reflect on all they have achieved, release all that no longer serves their journey and prepare for the next phase.
As the full moon represents many things, the love of the full Moon in this instance can represent the love from a partner, a feeling that everything is working in your favour, a feeling of content or completion within oneself, even the love of God. Whatever it is, the love of the full Moon represents you being perfectly aligned, mentally, physically, and spiritually, within the right place, or with the right person. The love shared between you and what the moon may represent in your life has been something you’ve put your energy into, it’s been growing stronger and stronger everyday, and the love is finally at the height of its power.
Something I pray we can all experience one day.
It is indeed possible, but you must have the strength and determination to ignore those that will hate, criticise, judge, or even compare what they’ve experienced to you, in the hopes to put you off. As well as those that just won’t support your journey, plus life’s many distractions and challenges that we all face on a day to day. Simply put, the stars that can cause you to lose sight of the full Moon and the love it has to offer.
At the end of the day, the decision lays in your hands. Just know there will be a time in your life where you will experience this exact situation, if you haven’t already. You can take a leap of faith and choose to receive the love of the full Moon, and experience something powerful, unique, and true. Or you can allow yourself to be distracted by the stars, a cluster of balls of gas, that do not have your best intentions at heart, and cannot offer the love you deserve.
Affirmation: I am worthy of love and deserve to receive love in abundance.
