Singer Naira Marley’s Trial Adjourned For 78 Days

The trial of popular artist Azeez Fashola, a.k.a. Naira Marley, was delayed by a federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday for 78 days.

Marley, who was arrested by the EFCC on May 14, 2019, is facing an 11-count charge of committing the crime.

The defendant, according to the EFCC, committed the crimes on several dates between November 26, 2018 and December 11, 2018, as well as on May 10, 2019.

According to the EFCC, some of the credit cards found in Marley’s home had the phony names Nicole Louise Malyon and Timea Fedorne Tatar on them.

These, according to the agency, we’re used to advancing internet scams.

Marley, who is best known for the songs “Soapy” and “Am I a Yahoo Boy,” pled not guilty to the charges and was released on bail on May 20, 2019.

The case has already gone to trial, and Anosike was slated for cross-examination after completing his examination in chief on October 27.

The court deferred the trial till the 16th and 17th of February, after the parties’ agreement.

Following activities for the new legal year, the court vacated the former date of December 14 on the grounds that it was no longer available for the court.
