Who Deserves The Next Rated Award In The Upcoming Headies?
The Next Rated award has been what most young artistes who has shown themselves to the world would like to win during the Headies award. We have seen lot of nominations and dramas when it comes to the category of the Next Rated.
Recall the first incident which occurred during the Headies award was in 2015. The Next Rated Category included Lil Kesh And Reekado Banks. Although both artistes gave us hit back then but many people expected Lil Kesh to win the Next Rated during that time. No one expect nothing than Lil Kesh winning but things turned and the Award was given to Reekado Banks which surprised everyone.
This made the YBNL boss, Olamide very angry and caused lot of commotion then and the feud between him and Don Jazzy then. Many people reacted to the Headies choice then but nothing can be done to it as the award has already been given to Reekado.
Also, recall the recent one which happened between Fireboy and Rema. People already thought the award should be given to Fireboy as he was ahead of Rema that time. Things changed also as they gave Rema the Award. So people thinks there’s more to this category.
Now, the Headies is back again and the nominations of each category has been released. What caught many people’s attention here also is the category of the Next Rated. They include; Omah Lay, Bella Shmurda, Tems and Oxlade.
