Despite his recent arrival on the music scene, Kuami Eugene, better known as Rockstar, has left an indelible impact on Ghanaians’ hearts.
Eugene Kwame Marfo, better known by his stage name Kuami Eugene, is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter who specializes in high-life and afrobeat music.
He’s signed to Lynx Entertainment and has a number of hits under his belt, including “Angela,” “Wish Me Well,” “Ohemaa,” and others.
In 2018, he won the Ghana Music Honors and the Ghana Music Awards UK’s New Artist awards, AFRIMA also honored him with the Most Promising Artist in Africa award.
At the Ghana Music Honors in 2019, he garnered seven nominations and went on to win the awards for Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Highlife Artist of the Year.
At the 2020 Ghana Music Awards, he was named Artist of the Year and High-life Artist of the Year.
The good news is that his efforts have been recognized and rewarded. At the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2017, he won his first award for Unsung Artiste of the Year.
Since his debut on the Ghanaian music scene, he has captured the hearts of many with a variety of good music in the genres of Afro-pop, Highlife, and Afrobeat.
Kuami Eugene is undoubtedly Ghana’s top hitmaker at the moment, since the beginning of his career in 2017, he has released a constant stream of songs that have consistently generated waves.
