I Had To Leave Nigeria Because I Was Supporting End SARS Protester – Davido

David Adeleke, aka Davido, the owner of the DMW record company and a singer, has claimed that he was forced to flee Nigeria due to his role in the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.

This was revealed by Davido during an interview with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show.

According to him, one of his songs, “Fem,” became the protest anthem.

Everything related to the campaign was being re-posted. It was incredible to see so many people come out in such a positive light.

“And I’ll say this: they paid attention to what we had to say. They were aware of our presence. They may not have made a difference, but they were shaken.”

In response to his critics, Davido released Fem after a long social media vacation.
