Since its release on the 13th of November, 2020, Davido’s album which features the likes of Chris Brown, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Sho Madjozi, Mayorkun, Mugeez, Sauti Sol, Tiwa Savage, Nas, Hit boy, Lil Baby, and others has been receiving positive reception from fans worldwide. The album topped streaming platforms and snagged the number one spot in different countries across the globe and now it has surpassed 100 million streams on Apple Music, Boomplay, Youtube, Spotify & Audiomack.
Taking to his Instagram page to make the announcement of his latest achievement, he wrote: “100 million streams in 3 days!! from Apple Music, Boomplay, Youtube, Spotify & Audiomack. Other DSP’s to report later today, let’s keep streaming ABT! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!”
Singer and Davido’s cousin, B- Red has initiated another Davido versus Wizkid argument.
Adebayo Adeleke, better known by his stage name B-Red, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was featured on two tracks from Davido’s debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo (2012). Primarily known as Davido’s cousin and hypeman, his career as a solo act started in 2013 with the release of the single “Insane Girl”; the song features vocals from Davido and was produced by Shizzi. In 2016, he released his debut EP All the Way Up.
Both singers recently released new albums and it’s been nothing but arguments and wars between both fans bases on social media. The discussion of who is a better artiste was initiated by B-Red who in a now-deleted tweet told fans he is ready to drop cash for anyone but only with a condition. The singer who released an album “Jordan” added that for him to drop cash, they would have to retweet “DavidoIsBetterThanWizkid”. He wrote: “What bill do you need help with right now. Retweet and add #DavidoIsBetterThanWizkid to your replies. I am checking.”
