Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Tourism Corporation and Marketing, said the Dubai Expo 2020, which started on October 1st, would provide visitors from all walks of life with the opportunity to explore world-class destinations, technological developments, and tourist attractions all in one place.
He explained that the Expo is part of an effort to promote Dubai and proclaim the tourism industry’s comeback from the epidemic that plagued the world in 2020.
Kazim also revealed that they were collaborating with the Afrozons Dubai Sound Off project to bring additional celebrity anchors from Nigeria, five other African nations, and the United States to Dubai to experience the city’s beauty and development with over 70 lucky travelers and their friends.
The Sound Off was created specifically to promote Dubai as a preferred location for African diaspora.
The event, which began on October 1st and will remain over the following six months, aims to raise awareness of Dubai among global audiences as well as attract tourists and investment to the Emirate.
Expo 2020 will take place in conjunction with the inaugural edition of the Afrozons Dubai Sound Off, providing an unforgettable travel experience for each potential tourist to Dubai. The Sound Off promotion will culminate in the selection of 70 Afrobeat fans and their guests for a trip to Dubai, where they will have the opportunity to see Dubai in a way they have never seen before.
The winners will travel to Dubai with their favorite celebrity radio anchors from the United States, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, and Angola to view the sights and participate in the Dubai Expo 2020.
Winners and their guests will receive complimentary airplane tickets, hotel accommodations, tours, airport transfers, and visas if needed.
