Innocent Idibia, better known as 2baba, has threatened his colleague with a N1 billion defamation suit unless he apologizes for defaming his character.
Brymo said in an extensive Twitter discussion two days ago that 2baba accused him of sleeping with his wife. He further claimed that 2baba dispatched thugs to assault him.
While the Implication singer has remained silent about the claim, he has dispatched his lawyers to Brymo, threatening to sue him for N1 billion if he does not apologize on all of his social media sites within the next 48 hours.
“I have received this from Innocent Idibia’s lawyer’s, or so it seems,” Brymo captioned a screenshot of the letter on his Twitter page. I’ll advise them to take their case to court, as I’ve stated in all of my tweets… They aren’t a bunch of crap.”
“We are solicitors to Mr Innocent (2baba), hereinafter referred to as “our client,” and on whose command we write,” the letter to Brymo states.
Our Client has been made aware of your tweets alleging that our Client “falsely accused you of sleeping with his wife,” and that our Client “was responsible for the attack” on your person, which attack “was for allegedly bedding his Mrs or claiming the spot of the greatest artiste alive,” among other false allegations.
“Our client and his family have been devastated by the frivolous and fraudulent charge. You’ve also decreased his friends’, business associates’, and wilder members of the public’s opinion of him, as well as cost him a large amount of business.
Our Client will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you were inspired to spout such gibberish following one of your self-described episodes of “spending days getting high and philandering.” In that scenario, we demand that you retract your words and issue an unreserved apology to our Client and his wife on all of your social media sites within 48 hours of receiving this letter.
“Should you fail or refuse to comply with our demands, we will carry out our client’s direction and seek remedy in court for no less than one billion naira in damages.”
